Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract is set to expire at the end of this month, and his wrestling future has been widely talked about recently. There have been rumors that he could be heading to New Japan or Ring of Honor, or just working all over the independent scene. However, it appears there is a strong possibility that Daniel Bryan has resigned with the WWE.
The 1000th episode of Smackdown takes place on October 16th, and local advertisements are advertising Daniel Bryan vs The Miz for the show. I live in the Washington D.C. area, the location of Smackdown 1000, and this is the first time I have seen anything advertised for the show. Now of course cards are subject to change, however, with Bryan’s contract end date so close, it seems very unlikely the WWE would advertise such a high profile match if Bryan had not already resigned, or was very close to resigning.
What we do know is the Daniel Bryan will challenge The Miz this coming Sunday at SummerSlam.
